SMYA is a parish ministry by young adults for young adults! If you are between eighteen and thirty-nine years of age and are looking for fellowship, spiritual growth, or educational opportunities, you'll find something here.
For the college and young married couple programs, please email me directly to get registered in the programs and subscribed to those email lists!
If you have any questions, my door is always open to you! I'm more than happy to make an appointment to discuss any questions you might have, either about this ministry or about our Catholic faith. I am here to support you in your faith journey, so I hope to help you in whatever way I can. Please don't be shy!
Most Young Adult Ministries take a one-size-fits-all approach to their program. We like to focus our events and cater to individuals in the different "life stages" of young adulthood. To do this, we have three programs:
This program is pretty simple and awesome: you register and we send you care packages during the school year, throw you parties with our pastor during academic breaks, and offer you scholarships for our annual Young Adult international mission trip. No strings, not catches, just free food, new friends, and adventures!
This is our "standard" young adult program with Bible study, Frisbee Friday, Theology of the Body classes. Events are on weekday evenings and weekends, with a focus on building a social community as well as cultivating your individual faith life.
Once you get married, life changes significantly. With that in mind, this program provides tools to help support you in your marriage, offering free babysitting by background checked young adults when needed, and connects you to a community of other young married couples in our parish.
In this age of social media we have you covered.
SMYA’s page is regularly updated. If you have an account with Facebook, liking this page is an easy way to stay updated, but even if you don’t have an account, the page is public, which allows general access to information for upcoming events & recent posts.
Join our email list using the subscription form below to receive emails with information regarding upcoming events. These emails will primarily contain Diocesan YA events, but will include some information regarding parish events as well. Not updated as frequently as the other resources.
